GRADES K-2
Grading scale is as follows:
(M) is for Mastering: 89.5% - 100%
(D) is for Developing: 80% - 89.4%
(E) is for Emerging: 79.4% or below
Mastering indicates a student has a complete understanding of the concept(s) being taught and assessed.
Developing indicates a student has an understanding of the concept(s), but needs to continue to practice skills to fully master the content independently.
Emerging indicates that a student does not have a complete understanding of the concept(s) yet.
Students will be evaluated on the following:
1) Positive attitude in class
2) Participation in assigned activities
3) Overall effort
GRADES 3-5
Grading scale is as follows:
A – Excellent 100-94
B – Above Average 93-85
C – Average 84-75
D – Below Average 74-65
F – Very Poor
Students will be evaluated on the following:
1) Positive attitude & effort in class
2) Class work and participation in assigned activities
3) Homework*
4) Tests / Quizzes
* If a homework assignment is NOT turned in, it will be graded as a "0". If a homework assignment is turned in late, it will be accepted; however 10% points will be deducted. It is the student's responsibility to turn in all homework before the end of each quarter.
